How Our Story Began
TuConnect didn't begin as a company. It began as a lived experience.
In 2024, our founders kept hearing the same thing over and over: "I've sent 100 job applications and haven't heard back once." These weren't unqualified applicants. They were bright, capable young professionals - graduates from leading universities, full of promise, yet stuck in silence.
At the same time, employers were voicing their own frustrations: "We can't find the right candidates with the right skills". The disconnect wasn't about skill. It was about visibility. It was about presentation. It was about access.
That's when we built Socially, a simple Chrome extension that helped job seekers improve how they showed up on LinkedIn. It used AI to personalize messages and suggest stronger content. Users loved it. They felt seen, confident, and for the first time noticed.
But it wasn't enough.
What our users needed was more than just a better LinkedIn message, they needed a better system. A way to build a compelling resume and CV. A place to practice for interviews. A platform that understood how hiring works in Africa, not how it works in Silicon Valley.
So we listened, we researched, and we built something bigger.
That's how TuConnect was born: not as a Silicon Valley import, but as a ground-up response to real struggles across Nairobi, Lagos, Accra, and beyond.
