TuConnect Grow · AI Resume Builder
Your CV isn't being rejected.
It's not being read.
An Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is software used by employers to organise and screen job applications before a human recruiter reviews them. If ATS software cannot parse your formatting or keywords, your experience is never evaluated. TuConnect AI Resume Builder structures your CV for clean ATS parsing and optimises your achievements for recruiter review.

The problem
The filter you never see
Sending a hundred applications and hearing nothing back is rarely a
verdict on your ability. Three things are usually happening instead,
and none of them are visible from your side.
Software reads it first
Most mid-sized and large employers receive applications through an
applicant tracking system. It tries to pull your experience, skills
and contact details out of the file and rank you before a person
opens anything. If it can't parse the file, there is nothing to rank.
Formatting beats content
Two columns, text boxes, icons, contact details tucked into the page
header, a CV exported as an image: these look professional to you and
arrive scrambled or empty to the system. The strongest experience on
the page disappears into a garbled block.
Silence teaches nothing
Rejections rarely explain themselves, so there's no way to learn what
went wrong. A hundred applications with one flaw isn't a hundred
attempts. It's one mistake, repeated a hundred times.
What that costs while it goes unfixed
Roles you're genuinely qualified for close while your file sits unparsed.
The gap between "qualified" and "shortlisted" is often formatting, not ability.
Every week without feedback is another week of repeating the same invisible mistake.
So the useful question isn't "did I apply?" It's "would a machine be able
to read what I sent, and where exactly does mine fall down?"

How it works
Three steps to a CV that gets read
You don't need to start from a blank page, and you don't need an hour
per application.
1
Start with what you have
Paste in your current CV, upload it, or start from scratch. TuConnect
pulls it into a clean, single-column structure that parses properly
from the first draft.
2
Let the AI tighten it
It rewrites duties as results, flags anything that will break parsing,
and mirrors the wording of the specific advert you're applying to.
You approve every change, nothing is rewritten behind your back.
3
Export and apply
Download a clean PDF that survives the filter, then log the application
in your Job Tracker so you can see what you've sent, where it stands,
and what to follow up on.
Inside the builder
What the builder actually does
Six specific things, each aimed at one of the reasons applications
disappear.
A readability score, section by section
Not one vague number. You see which section is dragging you down, "your skills block isn't machine-readable", and what to change.
Rewrites that add evidence
"Handled customer queries" becomes "Resolved 40+ customer queries a
day with a 4.6/5 satisfaction score." It asks you for the number. It doesn't invent one.
Tailoring in one step
Paste the job advert. It shows which of its terms are missing from
your CV and where each one honestly belongs. Minutes, not an hour.
Templates that stay readable
Single-column, standard headings, contact details in the body. They
look considered on screen and survive the parser intact.
Built for Kenyan conventions
It knows what belongs on a Kenyan CV and what doesn't: no photo, no
ID number, referees handled properly: because it was built here,
not adapted for here.
Versions you can keep straight
Save a version per role, keep them named, and pull the right one up
when a recruiter finally calls three weeks later.
Why we built this
Built with the recruiters who actually screen these CVs
TuConnect started because capable job seekers were being filtered out before anyone read their story, not for lack of talent, but for lack of tools to show it.
Our templates and scoring weren't adapted from US hiring software. They were co-designed with recruiters hiring across African markets and tested with talent building their careers through ALX Africa and Moringa School.

And there's a second reason a strong CV matters here
Employers hiring through TuConnect Hire
search the same platform you're building on. A CV that reads clearly to
software isn't only a better application. It's how you get found by
someone who didn't advertise the role you wanted.
You stay in control of that. Nothing is shared with an employer unless
you choose to make your profile visible.
Frequently asked questions
Questions people ask
What is an ATS, and do Kenyan employers use one?
An applicant tracking system is software that receives, stores and filters job applications. It reads your CV file, tries to pull out your experience, skills and contact details, and ranks you against the role before a person opens anything.
In Kenya it's standard at banks, telecoms, NGOs, universities and most large employers, and it's increasingly common at mid-sized companies using recruitment platforms. If the software can't read your file properly, a recruiter may never see you at all.
Should I write a CV or a resume in Kenya?
In Kenya the document is almost always called a CV, and for most roles it runs one to two pages: which is closer to what the rest of the world calls a resume than to the long academic CV used for research posts.
Use the word CV when you speak to Kenyan employers, keep it to two pages unless you're applying for an academic or research role, and don't worry about the naming difference. The file itself is the same.
Should I put a photo, ID number or date of birth on a Kenyan CV?
A photo isn't required and we recommend leaving it off. It adds file weight, can confuse parsing software, and invites bias before anyone has read your experience.
Date of birth and marital status are still requested on some Kenyan application forms, but they don't belong on the CV itself. Your national ID number should not be on your CV at all: share it only after an offer, through a secure channel. A CV circulates widely, and an ID number is sensitive personal data.
How long should a CV be in Kenya?
One page if you have under three years of experience, two pages beyond that.
Length isn't a parsing problem, it's an attention problem: past two pages, the strongest thing you've done is competing with everything else you've listed. Cut older roles to a single line and give the most recent and most relevant role the most space.
Is the TuConnect resume builder free?
Creating an account, building your CV, editing it and checking your ATS score are free, with no card required.
Exporting a formatted, ATS-ready PDF costs 25 credits, which is KES 250. Credits are pay-as-you-go at KES 10 each, so there's no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
Will my CV work with the specific system an employer uses?
No tool can guarantee compatibility with every system, and anyone claiming otherwise is overselling.
What is consistent across systems is what breaks them: images instead of text, multiple columns, text boxes, contact details hidden in the page header, and non-standard section headings. TuConnect builds CVs that avoid all of those, which is what makes a file parse reliably across the systems Kenyan employers actually use.
Can I use the CV I build somewhere else?
Yes. The CV is yours. Export it as a PDF and send it wherever you like: by email, through a company portal, or on another job board. There's no watermark and no lock-in.
How is this different from Canva or a free template?
Design tools optimise for how a CV looks to a person. The problem is that software reads it first, and the multi-column, icon-heavy layouts those tools produce are among the hardest for parsers to handle, so a beautiful CV can arrive as scrambled text, or as nothing at all.
TuConnect optimises for both readers, in order: parse cleanly first, then persuade the human. It also scores the CV, suggests specific rewrites, and tailors it to each advert, which a static template can't do.
Your next application deserves a better CV than your last one.
